Hello fellow list members
Well I went & done it. I sold my SC std and I regret it. I did sell it to a real nice list member but thats another story.
Anyway I am in the market for a new bass.
I am looking for a 32 or 34 SC or MK or Series I
Burl or flame maple top.
led's a on neck.
Anything out there ?
Thanx

midmoto, if your a gambler ebay has a sc on the block, or check with either Bass Central of FL, or Elderly Instruments of MI. I've had dealings with both and am quite happy.

Thanx for the info
Will keep my eye open

Have you checked out the mule's EVH Signature with Series I electronics? No doubt you'd be the only kid on the block to have one. It's in Europe, which might complicate shipping. The mule participates on this board and another board that I frequent and seems to be a stand up guy that's easy to deal with.
Peace,
James

SC's are almost always short scale. That body style just does not balance well with a longer scale neck; thus Alembic doesn't make 'em that way.

I think good 'ol Dela has played medium scaled SC's and IFF (well Moder Dave you know what THAT means)my memory serves me well even Mica played one too.

There appears to be a medium scale(32) SC Standard here: http://www.gguitars.com/alembicbass.html (http://www.gguitars.com/alembicbass.html) at a reasonable price. Looks like a really nice bass. I was considering it until I saw that it was not a short scale.

Stoney; you may want to run the serial number by Val just to make sure it is indeed 32. Notice that on the page showing the details for this bass, the last pic is of a different bass.

Thank for all the info
I never thought about the weight thing on a SC
Maybe a balance K would be better ?

It's a misprint on G Guitars. I checked the file and it's a shorty. We do not make them in 32 inch scale. You can keep considering, Stoney.

Thanks James, you're very kind. The EVH isn't for sale anymore, I've just decided that it can stay...

The mid-70s Series I small body I had way back when was a medium scale. It did tend to neck-dive rather alarmingly.
