I'm from Norway and want to buy a Series I; it can be old, but the bass' condition must me very good or excellent. A suitable price would be around 3000$.

Quickly, see eBay:

I've seen it. He won't ship the bass to Norway. Only US and Canada.

Peter,
the German distributor has an used Series 1 listed:
http://station-music.de/bass/used_basses.html#Alembic (http://station-music.de/bass/used_basses.html#Alembic)
They have high prices and I don't know if they are negotiable. But you might have a look.

Harald; that's a nice bass! An Alembic refinish, Zebrawood with (new?) Chrome hardware, Omega cut, a master volume(!). I wonder if it got an electronics upgrade when it was refinished. But you are right, the price is a bit steep.

Edwin (http://www.connectionbult.com/bass/instruments.html) has a very nice 5 string S1 in the Netherlands; but it appears that you are looking for a 4 string. Still you may want to check in with Edwin from time to time to see what he has in stock.
