Ed,

Elderly's has a 1975 Series II 4 string fretless (SN: 75 241) for sale. Price seems high though, it's listed at $6850:  http://www.elderly.com/vintage/items/55U-3408.htm (http://www.elderly.com/vintage/items/55U-3408.htm)

Dr. J
Thanks, I saw that one but like you said the price is a little steep, although it does have two superfilters built in. Thanks for the heads up anyway,
-Ed

Ed; I sent you an email, but it now occurs to me that perhaps the email address in your profile is not one you check often.

H Dog;

I've been thinking about this, I work swing and don't play anymore. I bought this lined fretless with LEDs and AAAAA quilt as I got the job. I bought it used, but there is not even a single wipe scratch on it, it is truly as new.

Let me know,

Robert

I'm considering it. I'm not sure. Here's the build record:

Hi Robert,

Here's what's in the instrument file:

Highly Custom Essence (though that's just for pricing, there isn't
much on here that would be classified as an Essence any more)

top: Quilted Maple (original owner selected the woods)
accent: Purpleheart
core: Mahogany
back: Quilted Maple
neck: Maple and Purpleheart, 34 long scale
fingerboard: Ebony lined fretless with side LEDs in red
body shape: Stinger
peghead shape: Crown
pickups: MXY
electronics: Europa
backplates: Plastic (one of the few features from an Essence!)
hardware: polished brass
originally made for: private individual
birthday: October 25, 1999

Back in 1999, the silver circles were not standard with side LEDs, but
now they are.

There are two previous owners recorded for this bass. It's a pretty
unusual piece.

I think I'm the second owner Mica is talking about.

Can you please send me an email with your asking price?

Let me give Mark a few days to think about it, he really should have dibs if I'm going to sell it.

Fair enough Robert, actually pretty decent of you.  Give me a shout if Mark declines.

Hi Everyone;

What was I thinking? I'm going to find another way to get dough. But thanks for the compliments!

And nice to hear from you again, Mark!
