hello, I have 2 signature deluxe (SC+MK) and I need to understand what difference between electronic of brown bass and electronic of signature bass. What difference of sound and where, on this website, may I find specification of the brown bass!
Thank's a lot.

Hi Pierreyves. Here's an old alembic feature on the construction of a brown bass (http://www.alembic.com/info/FBC_1.html)

Thank's Graeme, but no indication about electronic and this one have a dummy pickup than 2008 BB haven 't
I want to know what difference of sound between signature deluxe and BB ... I cannot try these basses here in Europe

You asked about the (differences in) electronics. This thread talks about the control set up for Anniversary electronics like the Brown Bass. http://club.alembic.com/Images/16271/27398.html?1145728615 (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=228). You already know about signature electronics. The biggest difference in the woods affecting sound is that the BB neck is predominantly mahogany, while most signature basses have necks made of maple with other lams (purpleheart, ebony, etc). Mahogany necks usually have a warmer sound than maple.

Thank's for this answer !!!
A last question: The switch near the jack is a stereo/mono switch for the stereo 1/4 jack.
I can use it in stereo as a serie I ... what for cable may I use and what for dispatch neck and bridge pickup ?
-
Yes you can use Anniversary electronics in stereo mode. On the bass end you need a 1/4 TRS plug and split this into two separate 1/4 TS plugs on the amplifier end. One plug is for the neck pick up and the other plug is for the bridge pickup.

have you a picture of this ?

Stereo plug on one side, two mono plugs on the other side ;-)
Can be found in any music/electronics store I guess..

I'll try to get a picture over the weekend.
My cable is custom made but as Flip said you should be able to find cables locally. I know I can find these at my local big box music store. I would look for a 1/4 stereo cable in the length you need and then look for a 1/4 stereo to 1/4 mono Y-cable.
