Title: F1-x SF-2=SVT Classic

I see the Alembic pre amp and superfilters occasionally on Ebay for between $500.00 and $600.00 GWO. I also see the USA made Ampeg SVT Classic heads going for between $1,000.00 and $1,200 GWO. Anybody see where I'm going with this? I have the Ampeg but want the Alembic. Think I'll get a trade? I'd appreciate any responses even if they're only to say that I'm crazy and who the heck do I think I am anyway? Thanks All.

You might have your alembic set-up quicker if you sell your ampeg and find the F-1x and your choice of power amp...then pick-up a used SF-2 when you can. The power amp in the equation might put you over the ampeg's value a hair depending on what your after.
