Does anyone happen to have one? I don't want one of those new ones and I hate to deal with eBay so speak now or forever hold your peace.

Good call on finding the older ones...I hear the HAZ reissues aren't the same. (the price they sell for reflects that)

I have one that I bought brand new in the 70's.
I recently got the power adapter for it too.
She does have wear but she still works (I was using it last year in a rock band along with my 70's mu-tron phasor)So, how much are these things going for now?

FWIW -- if you can't wait to find the real thing: I get a great Mutron-like tone out of my EMMA DiscumBOBulator; I believe they go for about $225 on musiciansfriend.com

The vintage mutron III's  usually go for between 350-450 depending on condition.
One sold on ebay recently for 270, that's the lowest I've seen one go for in a while.

If the pics are too large....you'll need to compress them.  
 
   Use the upload attachment button next to preview/post message and then press browse in the window that pops up.  
  Locate the file on your computer, select it and press open.
  Then press upload in the pop up window.
 
If it's easier you can email them to me at 'jakeblues (at) earthlink (dot) net' and I'll post them here.

I'm juggling the idea of one of these and an electro harmonix Q-Tron. So we'll see. I'd be interested in seeing pictures though.

I actually use a Mutron III from 1972.  There's nothing like it.  I had Bob Bradshaw modify it so it could use an external power supply (the original ones ONLY ran on 2 9V bateries).

I believe the original one ran on two 9v batteries or a power supply with an unusual three-pin connector.  I recently traded for one of these early ones and it's being refurbished by the inventor's hand-picked keeper of the flame.  These were soon replaced by the version that had an ac plug only, no batteries.

Looking closer, I see you have a CAE 3+SE.  Cool!  So are you using CAE audio and/or foot controllers too?

 Lingenberg Sound (http://www.lsound.com/ target=_blank)  does repair, calibration, and true-bypass mods, among other Mu-Tron work. I have one of the Lingenberg Sound PS-1 power supply remakes and love it. The Mu-Tron III blows through batteries pretty quickly.

I sold my CAE preamp when I downsized my rig.  You can see my current rig here... And I can't wait to plug my Alembic into it!

The slide shows were very cool!  The movie wouldn't work.
 
You have the RS-10 w/ the expander.  Very nice!  I've looked at it along with other controllers.  That the RS-10 has inputs for only two expression pedals seems to me to be a limiting factor.  (Well, that and the fact that it's more money that I want to spend right now.)  I like the Axess Electronics FX1, and if cost were no object, I would be leaning toward it.  Just dreaming!  I really like your setup!

I'm in the process of putting together a similar set up with a Voodoolabs GCX Audio Switcher and  Ground Control.  What brand of 1/4 jacks are those?  I was planning to use George Ls, but at $5 a plug, things could get a little expensive as this thing will take in the neighborhood of 50 plugs!

Those are Neutrik 1/4 mono connectors.  I used Mogami wire (I find it a lot easier to use than  Canare).
