hello there folks, Im trying to find an original set of alembic pickups, the early design pickups that were held in with just two screws-not to be confused with the more popular black soapbar style that use 4 screws. Anywayz, let me know! thanks

Hi.
A couple of sets of vintage P-style pups have come up on e-bay recently.
They look to have been sold for around ?150-?200 (which doesn't seem like a bad price considering how much a new set of pups on their own will cost).
Hope this helps.

he's referring to this pickup design(http://club.alembic.com/Images/395/67096.jpg)

WOW!!!
What a cool bass!
Who owns this baby???
-
I have this creepy feeling that this is one of Michael Delacerda's that fell victim to Katrina.
-
It belongs to the Cat in the hat!(http://club.alembic.com/Images/395/67105.jpg)

I like the paradoxical nature of that photo.
-
Who is The Cat in the Hat??
-
I am.
We switched basses for the pic. The Series II is mine.
-
Michael...that is one cool bass......congrats!!!
-
Who's the other guy??
-
Please tell me that this bass (the one in Keavin's picture) was NOT destroyed!!
Please!
-
George the other guy (the taller one) is Sir David T himself. SALUTE
David is whom we must thank for getting the Dallas Alembic Gatherings rolling. He suggested the first one.
OO
-
I hate tall people with hair!!
-
Beautiful 76 Series 1 though, so..I'll let him off this time!

Georgie Boy
The bass in the picture that Keavin posted was one of my Alembics that was destroyed. When I evacuated before the flood, I was only able to take 2 basses. I took my 1972 Alembic with me (serial number 16) and the graphite necked Series II in the paradoxical picture.

sad news indeed!!

Its gonna be like looking for a needle in a pickup stack!
