Thanks for thinking of me and keeping me posted, I saw it 30 minutes after it was listed last night and am currently the high bidder - though I wish it had a natural wood finish, I will be  very glad to have it should I wind up high bidder.  I used buy it now to pickup serial number 103 guitar for $1000 in NYC this week and it sings beautifully - Harvey Citron told me it was special ordered by the Good Rats guitarist.  I am slowly assembling a great VC collection.

Status graphite neck 8string on Japanese Yahoo auction. The nut have been modified to be able to put 125 string. Dings on the back. The seller will ship intl but the price might seems to be high under present exchange rate.

Hi Mike - good to hear from you - come on down to Uncle Mike's in NYC this Saturday if you are able - we have the whole night from 9:30 on.  The 6 was used for a gig last night and really is warm and unique - great guitar

You got that guitar for a song, considering the asking price for the last one I saw about a year or so ago on ebay!  
 
I've got a couple of shows I have to tech for this weekend, so getting down to the city is a no-go this time

 I won the Veillette Citron black 8 string and will pick it up on Thursday - do appreciate your message - I'm curious to know what songs have been recorded 8 string - I'll start with Cross Town Traffic - would love to hear from anyone who has more!  Todd

There is a CD Album called ZOOMA released by John Paul Jones in 1999 that has mostly 10 &12 string  Bass work. Interesting listening.  Congratulations on the 8 string Todd!

Spanish Castle Magic - Jimi Hendrix, Axis: Bold as Love
 
Doug Pinnick of King's X did a lot of recording with 12-strings, but never used an 8
 
That's all I can think of for now. Oh, and congrats on the bass! Welcome to the world of 8!

Jeremy - Pearl Jam was recorded with a 12 but he plays it live with an 8
 
Kashmir - Led Zeppelin sounds like he uses an 8 string if you listen hard enough
