There's an F-2B on SF Bay Area Craigslist currently for $390.  If I didn't already have one, i'd be all over it.

Got a Superfilter!!

The SF Craigslist F2B looks pretty ratty. Price is good, but I'm a bit concerned about condition and any potential unknown mods.

I would be interested in checking the F2B out if you decided to take a pass. I'm casually looking around for a used one myself.

That is an old one as well . The back still reads San Francisco.

I presume that means that it was built perhaps @ the old 60 Brady St. location in the 1970's . I like the old ones but sometimes older units of this type need new capacitors and sometimes not.

Well, he's giving me a great price on it, so I'm going to take a shot on the F2B.

I am glad someone here picked it up because that Craigslist ad has been teasing me now for a few weeks. The unit  is located locally not far from me and I have been incredibly tempted to grab it for my self.
The fact is that I already have two pristine older F-2B's  and two F1-X's .   Thanks for getting it out  of my local immediate reach . TOO much eye candy to close ________ LOL!

Nice looking rack. It contains the F-2B that was sold locally on craigslist just a week or so ago in my area . I spoke with the seller .It seems that he still had it listed for sale after you mentioned in your post #17  that you finalized the purchase. I had thought perhaps that the sale did not go through. You got a good deal for the price that you paid, I believe that your price was perhaps disclosed to me as a best offer at that time which was less then is the listed asking price .  That is an interesting red colour rack that  this system is enclosed in. Are there lids for the front and back ?

Hopefully he took the listing down. Works well and sounds great. It's just a simple studio rack. No lids. I don't play out all that often, so I didn't anticipate it being trasported too much.
