Hey y'all. Lost a screw somewhere- guess I had one loose (the opportunity for bad puns here is irresistable).
I see that: Because ferrous magnetic materials have the most affect on response, we don't use magnetic steel screws to anchor the pickup, we use stainless. Replacements can be found in the Alembic store. So I ordered some (gave me an excuse to order some other goodies).
While I am waiting for those, however, I figured I'd start a new thread (ha) and see if any of y'all know the screw size off hand so I can pick one up on the way home.
Thanks,
Jack

Aha!
I see that hardware store stainless #6-32 pan head screws will work, but I don't know the lengths offhand. from EffClef awhile back.
Anyone know that length for me?
Thanks again,
Jack

We use:
4 - 3/4 under the pickups (you probably have these)
2 - 1 neck pickup clamping screws
2 - 1-1/4 bridge pickup clamping screws

I notice my Further's pickups are mounted with mild steel hex bolts: what size are these as I'd like to replace 'em with stainless.

What brand flat wound string will fit on an Alembic Essence mid-scale (32) bass?

Flat wound? I have no idea - I strongly dislike them Ricky...I dont like the tonal response at all.
I think There are a few members here who use them though - start a new thread....gives you a better chance to get more feedback!
