I just came home saturday to find waiting for me, my first Alembic bass! A rogue 4. After getting my first Alembic over the summer, (a 77 series 1 guitar), I knew I had to add an Alembic bass to my arsenal as well. At $1999 I thought it was a steal. I have absolutely fallen in love with the electronics, and I feel like I can swim in the top! Let me know what you guys think.

Good deal for $1999! I like that walnut top. I have the same electronics on my Essence and I like what you can do with it. Congrats!

Mike, Thank you so much for the heads up! I forgot to mention that it was Mike who emailed me in response to one of my posts, and informed me about the Rogue for sale at a guitar center in texas. I love the Alembic community, and how they look out for one another. If it wasnt for groovelines, I wouldnt be the proud owner of my new Rogue.

That's a great top! Congrats!!

Very nice Top indeed!
I love the Rogue's body shape and I'm always amazed by Alembic's eletronics. In Rogue they're simple and very efficient, I get almost any Tone I may want just changing the PUs balance (with some help of the Low Pass Filter if needed).
Usually I just slightly turn the balance pot to front or bridge PU to get the right amount of low or high mid I need. Alembic's Tones are always lively and usefull, love that bass...
Congratulations for the purchase.

Beautiful bass at what would be considered in the UK a low low price!
Well done!
