If interested, please take a look at my Alembic Orion 4 custom bass on E-bay. 32 inch med. scale, 3/4 point body, mother of pearl inlays, bird's eye maple body/headstock, walnut back, purpleheart accent, ebony fingerboard, 2 fatboy PU's, with Spoiler electronics. S/N 990W12079

Nice looking bass. I'm sorry I'm not in the market, because yours is a really nice take on customizing an Orion. I like the 3/4 body with med scale. The Spoiler/Fatboy electonics package has to be pretty zippy.
Good luck with your auction

Thanks Bill, It was originally sold by Bass Central and since I've just bought a Steinberger UEB from them I need to sell this to pay for part of it. I forgot to put a picture of the front of the headstock on E-bay--too bad as it's a nice matching bird's eye maple and has the famous logo of course. Oh well I'll send it on e-mails to any inquirers. All the best, Art

If the bass doesn't sell on eBay this time I would like to throw my hat in the ring. My only problem is it would take me a little time though. I would have to sell my Essence 4-string first and then make up the difference in cash. That is of course unless you would be interested in a trade plus cash deal. Let me know.

The E-bay reserve is met at $1400. It will be sold the evening of 3-3-04.

Art, good news on the sale, I watched it go tonight. Let us know how the whole thing pans out. I took the leap of faith the other day and bought an '86 Spoiler off e-bay. It arrived today and it looks like it was put away in '87 slid under the bed. I would be interested in how your e-bay sale goes, step by step. Maybe others would also.

It's gone! Actually will ship it to Australia pre-paid Fed-Ex Air ($500 !!) this week. A real fine gent bought it and will get much enjoyment from it I'm sure. Got $1450 which is a little less than I paid for it on E-bay almost exactly 2 years ago. But I enjoyed the company of a fine instrument for awhile and I think of it as cheap rent. Better off to buy a good one as you can always get your money out of it if needed, right?
Tell that to the wife/husband,LOL Best wishes, Art

Just a suggestion. Try Airborne Express for shipping to Australia. I shipped a Jazz bass to Australia last year and it was about half the cost of FedEx.
