Title: Suspicious Ebay Essence
Post by: pts on March 03, 2009, 06:05:09 AM
This looks shifty - an Essence 4, but they make a point of saying the truss rod cover was custom made and is now conveniently devoid of a serial number.  It's listed as 92K7353, but the only proof of that is a close up photo of a piece of scrapwood with the serial written in ink.

The serial number does not appear on the Stolen Instruments (http://www.alembic.com/info/stolen.html target=_blank) list or the News and Announcements (http://alembic.com/club/messages/403/403.html?1230146066 target=_blank) page.

It may be hand-written in the control cavity.

That bass has already been covered here (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=11843) and here (http://club.alembic.com/Images/395/61585.html?1235312989).
