With the acquisition of my new Fenderbird and the continued enjoyment of my trusty and beautiful Spyder, I am considering letting go of my '83 Spoiler/Exploiter.
Here is a photo:

VERY VERY lovely quilted maple top, all maple down the center. Walnut core. Medium scale. Sounds amazing, of course. Currently set up to accommodate standard gauge Rotosounds.
There are two small dings that I will send photos of to anyone interested. They are on the side of the instrument where the neck meets the body, on the walnut part. They are not visible to an audience and do not, of course, affect the playability of the instrument. Otherwise this bass is in fantastic condition. Original Alembic case comes with (slight road wear but still looks nice).
Offering this up to the Alembic Club before it goes to E-Bay. Makes a lovely Christmas gift!
I paid over $2,800 for this instrument (yeah, that's a lot) 2 years ago. So...Make me a reasonable offer. If you're in the ballpark, we can hopefully make a deal.
Cheers and good luck, Mike
PS - this is the same instrument I posted under the wrong thread if anyone read this elsewhere. Duh. Sorry!

Mike,
Are you sure you wanna sell it? I know you've toyed with it in the past, but what happens if another Roey Mic Incident happens to the Spyder? Considering your cool tribute band gig, I imagine a back-up is quite the necessity.
Cheers,
Kevin

Kevin,
Yeah, I'm not sure I wanna sell it either. It just seems excess right now. We'll see what happens. Could go either way. But I hear you loud and clear about the Roey Incident. I've learned to turn and duck the swinging microphone, been successful so far...
dwmark, will check my e-mail for your note.

Mike,
Just having some light-hearted fun with you. Of course, the sale of your instrument is completely your choice and your business exclusively.
It is a nice piece, the next-best thing to that awesome Spyder of yours. Maybe someday...it'll take awhile for my bank account to heal from that Series I hole I just put in it, especially since I'm just a hobbyist and don't make dime one from my musical expenditures.
Cheers,
Kevin

Maybe Kevin's thought got the best of me, or maybe it was the way it played like buttah when I pulled it out this weekend....but....I'm going to take this instrument off the market for the time beign.
Thanks to DWMark for his interest and patience.

I do so hate it when people come to their senses.
-
Yeah, it kinda sucks, doesn't it? Takes away their ability to spell being.
Sorry mate. If I lose my job and suddenly need the money, you get first crack.

Smart move. Where the hell were you guys when I sold mine?
-
Sorry, Shawn. Only one customer to a sponsor here at AA (Alembaholics Anonymous), LOL! Good friends don't let friends do wack! LOL!
Bering, bieng, beeng, being...there, I got it right, LOL! Huh?
Cheers,
Kevin
BTW, how do you guys know that I didn't have an ulterior motive and that it was an actual clandestined attempt to exploit Mike's exploiter for my own nefarious purposes? J/K of course!

I would love to have this bass! I have an epic right now and would gladly sell it to buy this one. What is your bottom line. You can email me direct.

Locutus,
Not to assimilate you or anything, but I decided not to sell this instrument at this time (check out my previous post).
Sorry to tease and taunt everyone with this thread - apologize for throwing it out there then changing my mind...
