Yeah Paul is a great musician, and forget about him on Bassoon!!!The Booker thing was cool too! for sure. I also have a cd coming out soon and Paul's on it, along with some other great musicians. Post by: David Houck on November 24, 2008, 05:15:45 PM: Mica describes Mahogany as a neutral wood, and as neither overly bright or overly warm. Before I received this instrument, my main bass was an S1 with Maple and Purpleheart neck, and Mahogany body with Maple top and back. And while there are lots of differences between the two basses, I think the Mahogany contributes to the balance that this bass has throughout the frequency range.
