So after quite a bit of thought, I find myself in a position where I need to pare things down a bit. I would like to offer for sale to any interested club member my Signature Series 5. In addition to what is evident in the pics, this bass also has blue side led?s, chrome hardware, black Tahitian ovals, and a 34? scale length. I purchased this bass new, last year, and it has not been gigged since new. Please feel free to contact me at my personal email, timsan7@aol.com (http://mailto:timsan7@aol.com), if you are interested. I will most likely want to offer for sale my Distillate/Exploiter as well. As with keeping with the camaraderie of our club, I wish to offer these instruments here, before hitting the road of eBay. Thanks!

That is beautiful.... I love that headstock.
Good luck with the sale~

The ebony neck laminate is worth mentioning, too!

Hello,
I send you a mail....
-
Awesome. You should check out TalkBass.com before offering anything on Ebay. They have a great classified section just for basses and a lot of knowledgeable members.

What are the offering prices?

Just FYI, saying Signature Series to describe an Alembic bass can be confusing. There are Signature basses and Series basses, so you really shouldn't use both words in the same description if you want to be clear.
This bass appears to be a Signature Standard 5 with upgraded neck construction and top wood, plus the features you identified.

Holy Mother - this is beautiful!
Loving those tree images in the cavity covers as well

I'm afraid I'm no Alembic expert and wondered what differentiated this as a Standard rather than a Deluxe?
-
No Back laminate is the only real differnce on this bass. A Deluxe would've had a matching (or comparable wood) lam on the back. Standards also normally don't have ebony or purple heart lams in the neck either. This one does which is an upgrade for a Standard.

I also believe the chrome back covers are an upgrade too. The Standard models useually have plastic covers here.

Great, thanks for that. The neck was definitely confusing me as I thought it looked different from Standards I'd seen

Hi Molan, caught you lurking here :-)
Got your eyes on a 'lembic hmm.
The neck on this bass will offer great depth and sutain from the ebony stringer (so I'm told)
