Well, in my continuing quest to downsize my collection in favor of paying tuition bills, I've got a few items that have to go. These are ones you don't see every day!

First, a couple of Alembic A-5 speaker cabinets. Loaded with TOA BST-143 5" speakers, these things sound (and look) fantastic. The red one has one sticker on it and old residue from a second sticker. The green one, which is slightly larger, has two stickers on different sides. Could be refinished back to their original beauty, or left with the character that they've inherited. Despite their small size, these things are HEAVY! I'm looking for $150 plus actual shipping cost for the pair. Email me with any questions or for detailed photos.

Also up for grabs is an Orban 422 Compressor which just happens to be housed in an Alembic single-space rack case. Looks a lot like the above cabs, for good reason. Has spray painted name and one sticker on top, the rest is surprisingly clean. The meters are separate from the rackmounted portion but connect easily with the wires visible in the picture of the back of the rack. Great, useful compressor - or yank out the compressor and clean up the box for the best looking (and most bulletproof) rack case in town. Also asking $150 plus actual shipping cost.

Hey, Jagerphan84!
I see you prominently display Stars Guitars stickers on your speakers. Back in the days of old (olde?), I had my '72 Jazz Bass modified with a Startone eq module. It sounded great when it worked, but broke twice. The second time around, I didn't bother having it fixed. It's still in my Jazz (the instrument was retired long ago). Of course, my 6-week old MK Sig Special is my main bass, now, but I've been thinking of having my Startone fixed, if possible (and I should probably start a new thread to that effect). Just wanted to touch bass with another Stars Guitars guy!

Startone in a Jazz... probably a tad more flexible than the stock guts! I had a fretless explorer bass from Stars with that circuit that is now in the hands of another Club member.
The cabs and rack above with the stickers actually came to me that way a few years ago from a former Stars employee out in the SF Bay area. I unfortunately wasn't born early enough (or on the correct coast) for that scene; I just appreciate well-made equipment and was fortunate to be turned onto Alembic by my older brother when I was in high school (a mere decade ago).
Anyway, I'd say definitely get that Jazz wired up. I always find something surprising coming out of my fingertips when I pull out a bass that hasn't seen daylight in a while.

These cabinets are being recreated by Hardtrucker. So you can get them new. But I think that they are a little pricey. Their website lists them for $399 I think. But I am not sure if that is for one or a pair. I guess it's not too bad if it's a pair.
