Hi,
 
I hope that this is not too commercially agressive, but this was previously offered for sale  on another thread (http://alembic.com/club/messages/395/62583.html?1237385264 target=_blank) and I traded for this from a good customer of mine and are asking $3799 + shipping. I thought that you might want to know about it. This is a really gorgeous bass and is in Near Mint condition. I would consider a trade for a '70s 4-String Series I (Short Scale) if anyone is considering a trade. If you have any questions email or give me a call. I'm not sure what the site management might have to say, but it seems reasonable to me.  While I don't think we want you to generally post your entire inventory here (unless you're offering big discounts to our members!!! ), I don't see your post as commercially aggressive.  If one of us had seen that bass on your website, we probably would have posted a link to it, albeit on the Seen on craigslist, eBay, and elsewhere section of the swap and shop boards.  As you seem to be an Alembic owner at a personal level, there's no reason we should hold it against you that you also own a music store!  I'm sure a slippery slope argument could be made here, but I believe we should burn that bridge if we come to it and allow any listing of used Alembic gear from any source.  
 
Good luck with the sale.  That's a pretty fair price for a bass that is way more than a simple Essence.
