Oh man... I love it. Love the quirky upper horn, the wider omega and the scalloped nut. Where did I hide that cash!!!!
Best of luck with the sale- it is a beauty.
-
This is absolutely stunning. That top wood is like flowing butterscotch.
-
Everyone is staring at this with their mouths open......
-
Can U give more details on the build mate ?
-
I'd second the request for more build information. What's the scale on this beauty?

Welcome to the forum Edward and congratlations on the acquisition of a beautiful bass! Mike, congrats on the sale too!
-
Congrats Edward; and welcome to the board!
-
Your warm receptions are very much appreciated. Have a safe & enjoyable trip to my home state of PA, Mike. I'd like to know more about the innards of this '75 Alembic you're pursuing. When you explained the Series 1 you're selling to me, I was amazed at how lucidly you detailed everything from the woods used down to the pickups. Amazing!
-
Edward, I too am originally from the state of PA and will be in Grantville (not to far from you) this month for several nights on a gig. I'd enjoy meeting you and your bass if you're available ;) Art

Mike arrived with bass in case as described and beyond! I consider it a treasure!! Thanks, Mike!!!
-
Nice! Enjoy and Play it Healthy!

Words can't describe my relief, knowing that 534 is in good hands and a loving home... Not to mention, UBER-EDDIE paired her up with a Phil Jones rig which can probably be heard and felt across the river at the capitol!!!!
Ditto's Art.... play her in good health!!!

Thanks Mike! It was a real pleasure doing business with you. I now have some cool pics & recordings of that day.
Art, you're more than welcome to stop by to see this bass when you hit my neck of the woods soon. By the time you get here, I'll already have received my rare Sadowsky SA200, so we can A/B this and that in search of that elusive ultimate Alembic tone. The reputation of that SA200 has me up all night tonight!

Without question, the marriage between my newly acquired BUTTERSCOTCH 76-534 and PJB SIX-PAK > 6T+9B cabs (3.4 ohms) stands heads & shoulders above anything I've ever experienced. I was so thrilled, that I was prompted to call Phil Jones yesterday morning informing him of this inspirational bass candy combination. I explained that when Mike Pace was here, we had encountered troubles with my one SIX-PAK amp. {I happen to own two of them, as they do a great job doubling as stereo amplification for my Korg OASYS 88 workstation.} Phil kindly educated me on how to quick-fix the intermittent cutting out; saving me hundreds. Phil Jones truly rocks!! The quality build of his amps and cabs rule from the highest mountain down to the alloys of the screws!
Mike, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time and trouble to personally deliver BUTTERSCOTCH 76-534! She truly exceeds all expectations, and so I feel quite fortunate to have been the person to take ownership of her. Here's a brief sample of what she sounds like recorded just after Mike took off for Philly:

Hey, I'm interested about your pjb amp problem as my PJB briefcase keeps cutting out. When I rang the UK distributor I was told it is a problem with the mains voltage dropping too low which was results in the amp initiating the low voltage protection circuit hence the cut out.
Do you have any additional advice that may be of help to me.

Call Phil Jones directly and ask him. His number is readily Googable. I'd rather not proxy-address such a problem as I'm not qualified to intervene nor do I represent PJB the company.
