Title: Alembic/Fender/Gibson
Post by: afrobeat_fool on June 18, 2011, 09:28:38 PM
After talking to the wife we decided I had let go of some stuff. I can only play one bass at a time so with the exception of my upright, I am posting what I have and see what sells.   95 essence walnut/custom knobs 34

I have prices in mind, but I'm flexable. I did not want to post prices, pic, and serial #'s as I don't want to see them on craigslist in a week in Florida under someone else's name. Thanks, Nick

Since I owned the Series I for 15 years and got the factory refinish on it, I have to say that it is one fine bass. I'd have never let it go if I didn't have neck, shoulder and back issues. I have a lot of memories and fondness for that instrument, so I really hope it goes to a good home.

Edwin, I hope I keep 1180 for a LONG time. But if someone really wants it, then I hope it gives them the pleasure it has given me. It changed me and the way I play. It is one fantastic bass.

Hello Abidu! The tele bass is at Bass NW and can be seen on their web page. It has a replaced volume pot. There is no bridge or pick up cover. the rest is all original. It is as close as one can find to a 50's P-bass. The neck, pick-up, bridge. are all from the 50's. It is designated old stock from 1971. Last year they did that on Tele basses. Thank you. I hope San Paulo is as beautiful as I remember!

Ah, so that Tele Bass is yours? I was drooling over it for a while! I have one from a little bit later, with the big honkin' humbucker. I was hoping to give it a spin if it was still there when I go to Seattle in August. Good luck with all the sales!!!

Good for you, Abidu! I know you will enjoy it. That bass has been around the world with Phil Baker, touring with Diana Ross and with Gino Vinelli.

 Enjoy!

Congrats on the sales! I've been kind of craving something new, but pulled out an old bass that I haven't played much and have been enjoying that.

Abidu, you are most welcome!

Harry, I am glad you have been enjoying something old and didn't have to buy something new. Still would like to hook up when you are in the area.

Peace, my friends. Off to a gig in Salem. I hate traffic, but love the band!
