Beautiful bass, I have an Epic 4 string if your interested in a trade. I'm working on getting some pictures up. The Epic was made in 1990 with a bubinga top Gold Gotoh tuners etc. The only thing wrong with it is that the back of one of the back of the tuners is missing. It's a purely cosmetic issue. The bass plays amazing. Let me know if your interested at all!

Again I'm sorry for the poor pictures wich doesn't reflect at all the beauty of the wood!
I'm gonna borrow a digital camera and take nice pics and post tommorow.
Sean I'm looking at your offer. I don't know much about the Epic, give me a bit of time!
Michel.

Hi Sean,
Regarding your Epic, I'm sure it's a wonderful instrument, but I'm gonna pass on this one, and maybe have the Elan convert to a 4 strings. Not sure yet...
I had the bass evaluate by a couple of stores who frequently sell Alembic since I had an offer from a potencial buyer. They go around for between 1500 to 1900$ market value and sometimes much lower.
I paid 2,429.99 in 89 for that thing. Just found my invoice. It's obvious it wouldn't be wise to sell it, regarding the quality of it.
I contacted Alembic a couples of years ago to have it convert to 4 strings, they asked just about the actual value of it to do the job!
Take care Sean,
Michel.
