Hi, Glenn; are you trying to send the pix to Dave as an attachment? I've never been able to get that to work; I send them in the text of the e-mail: right click on picture > Copy picture > paste to e-mail.
Peter (No, no thanks necessary - just send me the guitar )

I remember when Glen previously listed this guitar on the forum a couple of years ago. I thought at the time that it had quietly been passed on to a new owner, but surprisingly, no.
So, here is someone's chance to own a beautiful standard-point S1 guitar !!!!!!!
Good luck with the sale, Glen!

emailing you now Glenn!

Cozmic_cowboy...Thanks for the info.I'll try to send the pics that way.
Pace..I did think about selling it a couple of years ago.It ended up that I could afford to keep it. But now I've got problems with CTS(carpal tunnel syndrome),so playing such a heavy instrument agravates the condition.I'm keeping it at bay with a regimen of excercises by Dr.Kate Montgomery.I think the CTS came on just due to age, I've played heavy instruments for over 35 years without any problems(Hagstrom Swede,Alembic,Les Pauls etc.).Since I can no longer play a heavy guitar I'm selling the Series I,it's a guitar that deserves to be played!I'll soon be in the market for a lighter and probably more ergonomic guitar.I am hoping to find it a good owner here at the Alembic forum.

Glenn:
Looking for a light guitar? Interested in a trade? I have 2 or 3 you might be interested in.

Orions are a good light guitars ir you are looking to stay in the family. May be worth a look after you have sold the series guitar.

Jazzyvee;
I'm thinking I'll have to go lighter than an Orion. Their weight is about 8lbs. Right now I'm using a Steinberger licensed Hohner for playing live. I definately need to upgrade. Because of that friggin' CTS, i'm thiking of something more ergonomic. There's a fellow in Ontario, Seppo Valjakka from Frankinstein Guitar Works who quoted me a very reasonable price for a klein clone, w/set neck in place of a bolt on. I really have to give some thought to my needs right now. Maybe a small hollowbody?

Glenn:
Howzabout a Parker Fly? Lightest guitar I ever played and very ergonomic. I also have a Scott Walker Surelight which is more Alembic-like and just a little heavier, and a Resurrection copy of Trey's Langanduc that's fairly light. Any interest (of course with a +$ from my end)?

I am currently attempting to buy this beautiful Series Guitar for myself as a Graduation Present. (long time coming!)
Will know by the end of the week whether or not I can set aside the funds, but as of now its looking good. I know there are a few others out there interested in this guitar, I just thought I would let them know where I was at to be fair.

Sale Pending! Haven't been this excited about a new instrument in a long time! Although I never left at heart, its going to feel good to be back in the club again! Will be back to post photos after It comes!
-
Congrats Sam! Good to see it staying in the club. And, of course, looking forward to pics!

Congrats Sam!!!!! As far as I'm concerned, you never left.... If I didn't already have a series guitar, this would've been the one back when Glenn first listed it..... That said, I wish Glenn the best of luck in finding a comfy guitar~ my wife suffers from CTS too, so l can only imagine the frustration.

Will be shipped out on Monday. Should be here by mid week!

I'm pleased to say that Sam will be giving the Series I a loving home. I'll be sending it off 1st thing Monday.
As for a lighter instrument, I've been thinking maybe a Parker Fly, or a thin hollowbody. I tried a friend's Holdsworth HF2, it can't be more than 6 lbs, it's hollow with a small body and compact headstock. I'd prefer the HF2S, 'cause I've been considering getting into synthesizer, and that has the Shadow p-up with synth access.
And thanks Pace for your good wishes- this CTS can be very discouraging at times. BUT...I've found a great book Ending Carpal Tunnel Pain Without Surgery by Dr. Kate Montgomery, and the daily excercise / warm-up routine are a godsend.
I will miss being an Alembic player, but at least keeping the CTS at bay, I'm still playing.
Enjoy your new instrument Sam!!

She arrived at my door this morning, on time, and safely packed! I didn't have much time to play her before heading off to work, but I did manage to plug in for a few minutes and snap a few photos. I will be adding a thread to the "showcase" section later in the week with more detailed shots, but for those of you who are curious, here are some shots to hold you over! Thanks again Glenn, you were a pleasure to deal with, and I wish you much luck and happiness in the future!

I was on the road for the last month. Just got back. Checking out the pictures Sam posted. You got some real nice shots, great angles. It was a pleasure doing the transaction with you. May you have many years of pleasure with this guitar. I miss it, but due to the circumstances of C.T.S. I wasn't playing it. And this instrument deserves to be played. Thanks again Sam. By the way...I've ordered a Carvin HF2S in antique brown finish. It weighs in at about 6.5lbs. So now I have an excuse to buy a guitar synth too! Next to C.T.S., G.A.S. is a pleasure!
