I am selling my 1995 Alembic Epic 4-string , mahogany body, wenge top, three-piece maple set neck, 24-fret ebony fingerboard, black truss rod plate, body matching peghead with brass logo, gold Alembic-Gotoh tuners, two Alembic MXY pickups, two-per-side tuners, volume/pan/treble/bass controls, active electronics, 34 in. scale. I am asking $1500 and will split shipping with the buyer. It is in excellent condition although there are signs of wear in the wood above the neck side pickup where my thumb rested. I have been the only owner of the bass. Here are some pictures.

Is it still for sale?
-
Yes, this bass is still for sale. Post back if interested.

Are you sure the top is Wenge? Wonderful bass.

I will have to double-check. I got the description from an exact looking bass on eBay from the same year and assumed it was correct. I am not an expert in woods but will talk to someone at my local guitar shop who should know. I don't have a manual that came with it. Also, I am the original owner. I can let you know Saturday.

Someone on this forum will definitely know. I'm guessing Walnut.
-
Walnut or even Koa would not surprise me.

I just got off the phone with Alembic and they looked up my serial number. She told me top top is koa.
-
I love that top !!
