So this was originally a fretted? Very nice bass

Very nice! I love Series fretlesses. Perhaps my favorite purveyor of this tone is Jim Cammack. He's on this track:

But check out Ahmad Jamal Live In Paris '92, especially the first cut, The Tube. He really brings out everything these basses can do.

That is a beautiful bass there, and I'm really interested in taking it home... But I can't go that high in price, would you be willing to go lower?
