Well, I never thought I'd do this, but I've held on to this amazing instrument for far too long. It is beautiful, both sonically and aesthetically, but I just don't play it enough. Over time my playing preferences have morphed more towards 4 and 5 strings, so I'd like to find an Alembic 5-string that fits in with my repertoire and other basses. It's time to let this one go to an enthusiastic 6-string player.

I'm also willing to ship abroad, provided we can figure out shipping costs, import duties, and the dreaded CITES. Please contact me if you're outside the USA and interested. I would also definitely consider a trade (+/- cash as needed) for a neck-through, 5-string Alembic. Any model, electronics, condition considered. It would need to be 34" scale and under 10 lbs.

Is the spacing at the bridge 19mm ?
-
I think so.
I believe the neck corresponds to the Comfort neck width (6 2.20 at the nut, 3.56 at 24th)
I'll be 500 miles away from this bass until Thursday. I will measure everything carefully and report when I get back.

That maple top is amazing

Thanks. I agree, the top is amazing. I can't think too much about it though - apparently I've really moved away from 6-strings. I brought this bass to practice and while it plays as nice and sounds as nice as ever, it just didn't feel like my bass anymore. I've been playing 5's almost exclusively for a few years now.

I did get a chance to measure the neck and bridge dimensions today:
