I just don't play 4 string enough any more to justify keeping this beauty...so it's for sale
The outstanding burl maple top is bookmatched to center. To save a little weight the bass was built with a mahogany body and without a back laminate, and to save a little money I ordered it without side LED's. Neck is maple with purple heart laminates. Electronics are the standard Series I array, except that a pan control and master volume substitute for the pickup selector and individual pickup volume controls. Also, the 1/4 in jack is wired for mono.
The bass is in near-mint condition. No significant dings, scratches or wear.
Sale does NOT include the power supply! These are available directly from Alembic.
Feel free to contact me with your questions!
Asking $7,500.

I'm at the end of my game and you start selling your basses? Life is soooo cruel! You definitely have some of my favorite basses I have ever seen. Plus I have dealt with you before, so I know you are solid to deal with, fair to a fault, even. If nothing else, I do wish you well on this sale. If you ever sell your 'broken' bass or your quilted cocobolo Europa, please let me be unconscious that day/those daze . . . .
Damn - Now I have to go wipe the drool off my T-Shirt.

Man, that is nice! You're only a couple of hours away from me, too!
Oh, to have $7500....
-
Absolutely increible! Good luck with the sale.

This one is now mine...! I'll post some pics soon, it now lives in Brazil

You have bought a superb bass Greg.
Let us know how it feels when you gig with it. :-)

Hey Jazzyvee. Indeed, it is superb. I did 2 small gigs with it this week already and just can't put it down. The neck has this custom profile that is just KILLER. Best Alembic I've played, both in playability and sonically. And considering that Alembics are the best out there, you do the math...
Couldn't be happier.
This bad quality shot is from last night, iPhone quality. The only one I have so far. Just to prove I'm giving it good use, even though it's hard to see the bass properly. I'll try to take some good pics this weekend, if the weather permits...
