Mike's promotional video for his solo tour this fall. He's slappin and poppin on his 4-string Epic in a few shots, though he plays a Modulus TBX 5 live. Worth viewing just for the weirdness, even if you're not a Phish fan. You'll enjoy his twisted response to the question, How do you come up with a bass line?

. . . twisted response to the question, How do you come up with a bass line?
Twisted? I though everyone came up with bass lines that way.
Either that or they base(pun intended)their moves on the fingerboard similar to a possible move on a checkerboard.

Ha! It's not every day you see a Joey Arkenstat (http://www.joeyarkenstat.com/# target=_blank) reference.

The video I am seeing there now is him slapping on his Modulus?
-
Look closely...the Modulus TBX he plays live is featured, but he's on an Alembic in one or two shots.

I like his answer to the question . Remember Professor Irwin Corey ? Look him up on goggle! My kind of humour! LOL !!!
