We've all seen the fake Alembic Elans with rub on Alembic letters on the headstock.  
 
Well, here's a first: a REAL Elan with Alembic stuck on the body!

That is bizarre:  I guess he REALLY wanted people to know it was an Alembic!

I emailed the seller about this.  Here is his reply:
 
The word Alembic is a die cut label that I have placed on the body of the guitar. It can be removed. It has never peeled, or obstructed the use of any polish.
 
I don't think the seller would mind my posting this since it may address some doubts potential buyers may have.
