I don't remember seeing one with these upgraded electronics.

Hm, Alembic-approved piezos?! I wonder if they ever become an option on the 'horizontal' instruments ...

Adriaan; last August Mica stated in another thread (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=6744) that Piezos are not available as an option ... the resources needed to have us do it would be hard to justify.  And prior to that (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=6894) she stated we've done experiments with piezo pickups before and weren't happy with the sound for basses.

That was what I remembered - just that the Ebay auction suggests that the piezos were installed at the factory. And perhaps the sound is acceptable for a wooden bridge like the Classico has, just not for brass. So what if you have a brass bridge with wooden saddles? Ah, questions, questions ...
