Isn't that the one made for Johnny Winter?
-
yep, that's what it says in the description

I knew I had seen that guitar somewhere before! Thanks Michael! Here (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=2283) is a prior picture. But the Gruhn picture is pretty good too!

The pickups look different.
-
It looks as though the original pickups were cast as clear and replaced with black ones.
-
Here (http://www.gruhn.com/catalog/ez.htm) is the Gruhn listing.
-
Wouldn't the strap keep you from getting to the upper most frets? Seems like the strap holder is a bit far up towards the neck, no?
-
How can the Johnny Winter guitar be 75-689 if my Series 1 is 76-476? I thought all Alembic serial numbers run sequentially, regardless of model.

Gruhn also has a 1966 Gibson Byrdland owned by Jerry Garcia for a mere $100,000!
