Title: One-String Japanese Bass
Post by: hb3 on May 10, 2006, 06:42:28 PM
Hi all,

I'm trying to locate something we were talking about on the forum a few months ago....

A crazy Japanese company that makes very avant-garde basses, including one and two stringed instruments.

At the time we discussed Alembic designing a one-stringed Series bass...

Anybody remember what company that was? I really need to find their website or any information about them.

thanks!

Looks like 1 US dollar is currently about 111 yen.

In my opinion Atlansia basses look stunning.  Supposedly he designed the very cool Alembic influenced Aria basses that came out in the 80's.  My favorite is the Victoria bass which can be seen at bunnybass.com.  I've actually tried to e-mail them several times about acquiring one but nobody ever replies.  Probably lost in translation.

I especially like the bird-shape F hole on some of the hollow bodies.  Anyone ever play one of these?
