Title: Here's an Unusual One For You 4-Stringers

Some of you have heard me tout Daion instruments before (based in Waco, Texas, manufactured at the Matsumoko factory in Japan, circa '78-'82).  Well here's one the likes of whcih I've never seen before.  A semi-fretted bass!

Weirdest thing I've ever seen. I have a couple of Power MK basses. Played them for years but I think I'd have to pass on this one.

Well, when I read this (by email, without picture), I thought it would just be defretted above the 12th fret, but this is definitely interesting!  Cool concept, and I bet you could confuse the heck outta people on recordings with it.
