82' Series 2 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=9524278659&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1) on eBay !
The serial No. is 82-2121 (maybe the description 322121 is error), but no picture and new seller (no feedback).
Does anyone know 2121 ?
The price is $6000.

I have 82S2345, so the number seems to be in the right range. Other than that, I don't know...

A zero-feedback seller offering a $6K bass with no pictures is sketchy. Even assuming he's on the up-and-up, that's twice what I'd pay for that bass as described, and three times what I actually paid for mine two years ago.
Nope, nope, nope.

It was my turn to have a futile conversation with one of these guys. I emailed him and pointed out the price issue he was going to have and he told me he had been advised the bass was worth more and was going to INCREASE the price after talking with the factory to get an appraisal. He said a local shop had offered him $4K and that backed up his assessment of value ($7K-$9K).
My holiday weekend advice to the club is that any time we think one of these guys needs help, we go to our practice area, pick up our bass (or guitar, for the guitar ones) and play. We'll be doing more to improve the world if we do that instead of trying to straighten out a wayward (or worse) seller.

Point taken, dw...they're just not going to listen.
C'est la vie.
