Hey gang, Anyone looking to purchase this bass.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=012&item=220005233793&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=012&item=220005233793&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1)
please be careful! I was the original owner, sold it to a lefty in Florida, he in turn sold it to someone else on ebay about a month ago. The present auction is the exact same add, word for word from the Florida seller. I have asked the present seller some questions, trying to find out if he really is the owner but I have received no reply. That coupled with the facts that the opening bid was only $95 with no reserve, a three day auction and the seller has ZERO feedback makes me very suspicious! Buyer beware!! Mike

I have asked the seller to tell me the exact width of the finger board at the nut. Waiting for a reply.

Thanks, Mike. I hope someone can notify ebay immediately if indeed this is a scam. I have never really been able to communicate directly with an actual ebay person....

Mike is right this is a fake. Mike's Florida seller emailed me and said the bass is in Spain. Ebay needs to prosecute these Jokers they have enough info on 'em to do just that.......I emailed the scam seller and said I was going to be high bidder, needed to get his phone number and address so I can plan a vacation to pick up the Elan....

This bass is becoming notorious! I see it everywhere. And notice the cheesy photoshop job on the oval position markers. This screams F A K E!

How odd, I just looked at my bookmark of the previous ebay auction and it has star position markers. What's up with that?

Scam listing is pulled and ebay has suspended the priviliges of the seller, they say.
