It was a $1,000 over what the dealer sold it for in 1983. If you ordered this bass new today, the list price would probably be around $6,300 with case.

I've notice that the few Alembics selling on eBay this summer are getting top dollar.
The Fender basses aren't coming close to what they were selling for a few months ago.

Alembic basses have been bringing record highs on eBay this summer.
I still can't believe someone got $1700 for a Persuader.
The rest for the market is in its usual summer slump.
