Title: Fretless Excel 4 on eBay
Post by: tbrannon on August 12, 2006, 06:30:47 PM
Looks like a pau ferro fretboard?

No feedback seller, but it's a beautiful top for anybody who might be local.

Looks wrong.
Axcel?????
Gold hardware?
It doesn't read like the original owner is selling the bass.

It's also got a 2 pup setup.  I know that lots of Excels have 2, but the way these are stacked looks different to me and the logo on the pickups looks somehow wrong to me....?

EDIT: Side mount jack + black truss rod cover?

Toby; here (http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/alembic_1910_9552430) is an Excel with the same pickup arrangement.  And Excels come standard with the black plastic truss rod cover.  However, the seller has zero feedback, so anyone interested should proceed with caution.

Thanks Dave-
I didn't realize they came standard with the black truss rod cover.  That plus the side mounted jack threw me for a loop.
