This one is a set neck, not the Electrum standard neck-through design. I know it's a custom option, but why someone would spend extra for this is beyond me. It's like buying a vintage Fender Twin, and then taking it to the electronic shop and asking them to please replace the tubes with transistors (IMHO). The maple laminate between top and body is an upgrade over the standard Electrum. The BIN price is about the top price the last 2 or 3 Electrums have gone for, IIRC. Not much of a bargain, if you ask me.

Any ideas on what would be a fair offer on this one? Thanks

I sold that guitar to that person about 5 months ago for $1500. It is a beautiful instrument, sounds great, looks like they polished the brass. Otherwise it's the same as when I had it.

I could be way off base here, but it seems to me that guitars with a two filter electronics setup have been pushing $2,000US recently. So perhaps it will go somewhere between the $1,500 Michael mentioned and $2,000. Depends on who's in the market at the moment.

Thanks guys. I made an offer right in that ballpark, so we will see.

Good luck! It is a great guitar. I only sold it for financial reasons and my brother about smacked me for it.

Good luck! It is a great guitar. I only sold it for financial reasons and my brother about smacked me for it. Also, the price was what I paid for it in a buy it now. I didn't try to make any money, I sold it for what I paid for it.

I don't have an eBay account at all, so I have to ask, how does a make an offer auction work? Does that basically allow you just one bid, and no chance to go higher, and the winner take all?
That's one of the most chocolate-brown pieces of vermillion I've ever seen!

That's pretty much it, Andy. On this one there is no bidding, just Buy it now at the set price or make an offer. In this auction each bidder can only make one offer. My offer was too low, and the seller rejected it. I could likely get back in touch for a Second Chance if it does not sell, if we could agree on a price. But, I'm likely out on this one.
