Yeah lovely bass but I still prefer the natural wood feature of  alembics without any added tint or colour.

I used to be a purist in that area as well but I have grown to love black and tinted finishes as well. Red, Deep Purple, Sapphire Blue as well as 3 black finishes coexist nicely with my walnut, koa, maple, vermilion and cocobolo children. A veritable Benneton of basses if you will. Diversity in action Santa Rosa style.

That purple SC that went through here about two years ago was fabulous.  I would love to have gotten my hands on it.  I'm not sure that I would love all colors, but that was a beauty as is this one.
