Check this one out.

The opening bid and BIN are the same: $4800 The seller claims the MSRP is $6400. The Alembic price list puts it at $4400. Who would want a new one, when for only a few hundred dollars more you can get a used one and enjoy all the fun and excitment of sending a boatload of bucks to a stranger and hoping your guitar arrives? Of course he may be legit - the seller may have paid a $2000 upcharge for side LEDs. Yea right!

The wood backplates add a bit to the retail price too, but I don't see what adds up to 6400.
Nice looking guitar, though.
Peace

Side leds aren't cheap either. But definitely overpriced if it is a second-hand.

This is a case where a little knowledge can be dangerous.

Hmmm, that listing looks exactly like the pics here: http://www.guitarstudiousa.com/Products/Electric/Alembic/index.htm (http://www.guitarstudiousa.com/Products/Electric/Alembic/index.htm)
Locale checks out, but it's still too much for me.
