If that SB/AE-1 set is drop-in for a Steinberger, then I will probably go after them.

I'm really hoping to drop them in my Starfire! Perfect fit!

Let me know if you are really serious as we don't need to bid each other up.

Edwin, it's at about $225 now with shipping included.  If I were to chase it, it would only be a couple bucks up from there.  If you're willing to go past $300, then you probably will outlast me.

With all the activity thus far, I would be surprised if there isn't a flurry on the tail end.

It's insane! Do I want to spend more than $400 for them? I doubt it.

I don't know if these are still offered but, if I were to consider going above $400, I suspect that they couldn't be much more than $600 to get a new set through a dealer.  I don't think a set of pickups improves much from travelling on the order of 10,000 miles and aging for 10-15 years.

The pickups themselves wouldn't nearly be that expensive, but with filters and all, it gets up there. $503 is just way too rich for my blood, though. For that money, I would get some pickups and a used superfilter and take the superfilter guts and put them in my Starfire. As it is now, I'll try to find just the pickups and make a buffer and keep the superfilter external.

Oh, well, I hope the person who won them enjoys them!
