That looks like the real deal. The decal below the emblem looks like Mica's mom creation spelled out spoiler. 1982 sounds about the right time frame.
Another thread came up a while back about the same decal issue. Seems some fakes have been reported. Best to check the serial number to be sure if anyone's thinking of going for it.IMHO.

AFAIK, the fakes are never in the Spoiler shape.
Most fakes with the rub-on lettering seem to be very poor P-bass copies, and there's a picture of a super-strat model here on the club that one might mistake for a California Special - if not for the lack of build quality.
Another hint is that there are only two Alembic models that actually had the model name on the peghead - earliest Spoiler with the decals, and 20th Anniversary with the script in bronze - whereas the fakes have the model name printed.

that's a real one........trust me, the early spoilers all had those decals. the logos came soon after
