You can get it new at amazon for ?19.79 - thats $38 to you. It's not signed is it?

all those books are not signed as the book was published after Johns passing....

hi oliver.
I guess what i meant was, why would someone bid over the odds on ebay for something they can get cheaper (and new) in alot of bookstores.  
FWIW, i've picked this book up a few times at my local bookseller but can't bring myself to pay for it. It's very well laid out and the pics of john's Alembics are excellent.
