While there are Japanese-made bolt-on Alembic basses, they didn't have neck plates.  Giving the seller the benefit of the doubt, these probably came from one of those cheap P-bass knockoffs with the Elan stickers on them.  
 
At least he wasn't trying to get $49.95 for the neckplate.  He was only selling the parts for what they were worth...
