Was surfing through some good old ones on youtube, and stubled upon this video of kool and the gang.

Is this an Alembic?!?!
Check out 2:35 and onwards, I swear that's the cloud with the circle logo on top of the headstock..
-
I would say Yes , it's dark but you can see the bridge and tailpiece a few seconds later.
-
I'd hazard a guess it's an Oasis. Though the logo is vaguely reminiscent of a Spector.
-
I don't think I have ever seen an Alembic with a bound neck.

It's not an Alembic. That headstock is a dead give away. But Kool also owned, and played Alembic basses professionaly.
I'll dig up some pictures...

Hi Nicolai; my guess is Oasis.
-
In fact that bass looks quite similar to this one (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=18393) owned by a club member.
-
There's a previous discussion of this topic here (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=8231) with a number of interesting comments.
-
Oasis is the bass Robert Kool Bell was playing in the video.

Never heard of the Oasis basses before, looks good though! (Super-rare?)

I believe Jeff Porcaro's brother played an Oasis in Toto.
