I wish more people were like this. The bass is a
fine one, but..someone caught some mis-information and let the seller have it. Bang.

I like the way the seller handled this considering the way the remarks were made in the so called question. They also were good enough to remove the reference from the title. The seller obviously needs to know that it is a Standard Omega body shape. A little bit of knowledge can go a long way and you do get more flies with sugar than with salt.

Having sold a lot of items via Ebay, I feel for the seller. As he points out, he's not an expert. For someone in that position, the number and subtlety of Alembic options are a bit of a minefield. I have sold two Alembics. In both cases, I thanked my lucky stars that I was knowledgeable enough to field any reasonable question from an informed potential buyer. This is not to justify inaccurate representation, but it looks like the seller went the whole nine yards to correct the mistake and more.
On the other hand, many Ebay sellers don't appear to have done any homework before posting Alembics for sale. That does piss me off. I guess I respect anyone who makes a good effort, but lose patience with those who don't.

I do feel for the seller and he did say he would make corrections.
I agree that some sellers may try beef up the item. Hard to tell with this one.
Anyone with any selling experience should just describe as acurately what the see and let the questions people have fill in the blanks.
Homework is the answer. Although the remarks seemed just point blank & cold. That's what really got my attention. Thanks for the comments.NLP

I recently bought this bass. The bass was listed by a seller who was not knowledgeable about Alembics. He was listing bass for a friend. The bass sold on ebay a month ago for $3,000 but the buyer backed out of the deal as he had money problems. The bass was re-listed for $3,750 or Best Offer. I offered $2,500 and the guy accepted it. I should have the bass by Tuesday and will post some pictures. This will be my third, but not my last Alembic.

Here's a shot of the Mark King alone and one of my "Three Amigos." Series II V on the left, Stanley Clarke Signature center and the Mark King on the right. They are all different and that's one of the many things I like about Alembics. I feel like I need another one.
