OK, whazup with this? Looks like they cut the Alembic A in half and mirrored it to make a sort of copy.  
 
Brazilian eBay seller, been around since 2005.

There are many companies and organizations that have the name Alembic. I did a quick search and found this:

It refers to Alembic Hall in England.
