listed again here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290249531170&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_RCRX_Pr4_PcY_BIN_IT&refitem=290247643976&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&usedrule1=CrossSell_LogicX&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget&_trksid=p284.m183&_trkparms=algo%3DCRX%26its%3DS%252BI%26itu%3DUCI%252BSI%26otn%3D4)... this time the seller dropped the BIN from 8,900 to 7,500 USD, the former starting bid.

Starting bid is like 5 thousand now. It continue to drop. I often see series basses used going for 3 to 4 thousand, so that is not a good relative value. Although it is a sweet looking bass.

What I'm trying to figure out is his listed invoice price of $13,400 - and this was in Dec 2006 before the last two price increases.
Using the custom quote generator I just came up with $12,535. Started with a Rogue and made all the appropriate changes to get that bass he is listing. That price is also completely ignoring whatever the monthly special might have been when he ordered it.
It seems he may be inflating the invoice cost a bit to make it seem like a better deal.

Brian; I couldn't come up with it either. But I did notice that in the two subsequent listings, he removed the reference to the invoice price. So, perhaps he realized that the reference was incorrect.
-
That or enough people called him on it that he realized any serious buyers would as well. Eh. I just hope that bass finds a good home.

I bought a bass from this lister and briefly played this bass at his home shortly after he received it from Bass Central. It's quite spectacular, plays great but is a little on the heavy side for my tastes. Ken

Hey folks,
It's ba-ack:

Again, it's a little cheaper this time around, but it's just as pretty.
Cheers,
John

Did somebody get this or did the auction just end? What was the electronics package anyway? This is a cool looking bass, but I've not noticed that the bells and whistles add much to the resale value.
