I know I said I was looking for a Series Shorty (still considering any options in that regard), but I saw this guy and couldn't resist: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rt=nc&nma=true&item=150547420280&si=%252B%252FdlbbNAwaGKs7OJCrMQ%252FC9dBa8%253D&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rt=nc&nma=true&item=150547420280&si=%252B%252FdlbbNAwaGKs7OJCrMQ%252FC9dBa8%253D&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT)
Pics will be forthcoming.

I got it today. Whoever had it before me obviously didn't play it much: I can't find a scratch or ding anywhere. The front and back are flamed Walnut and the contrast with the Myrtle body is really striking. A nice surprise was the LEDs (I didn't know it had them until I took it out of the case). The position markers (MOP?) are hypnotic. The back laminate adds enough weight to the body so that it balances better than my SC. The tone is not much different (which is fine... I love my SC). The finish is different from my other Alembics; therefore, the bass feels different. I think $3,550 was a steal for all these features on this bass. I'll post pics when I have a day off.

Glad to hear you like it Mike! Mikey likes it ;) Play it Healthy!
