Peghead logo for sale here (http://cgi.ebay.com/Alembic-Peghead-Logo-1970s_W0QQitemZ150362531467QQcmdZViewItemQQptZGuitar?hash=item23024e268b&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14)
Price is up to $12.62. It says is has pins on the back for mounting. I didn't think you could buy these. Do you think it came off of a instrument that was destroyed?
Todd.

From the picture, it looks nicer than the one on my '77 Series I. Should I bid on it?
Todd.

I don't understand the comment, Before Bidding, make sure you have a Real 1970's Alembic Made Instrument.
And if it's '70s, then it's gotta be late '70s - my '75 doesn't look anything like that.
-
I guess that's an effort to discourage pinning it on a ferndandes or something else.
-
I think the earlier seventies they were hand cut silver, which was a pain to do, and then Alembic found a jewelers (sp?) company to then cast them in the later seventies, if I remember right.
-
Don't know if it is really from 70's... This one is exact like mine 97 Rogue's peghead Logo (and I'm sure it isn't silver or anything fancy, by the way).
-
Once the logos started to be cast, they were all essentially the same - in fact, the same guy has always made them (plus he makes the cast names on the rack equipment too).
The seller has graciously agreed to return the logo to me so it can't wind up on the wrong thing. What a sweetie!

That's good to hear Mica!

Anybody interested in a Sterling Silver Pendant (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150362608325)?

Anybody inerested
I'd be interested in a factory produced pedant in half size. maybe we should prevail upon Mica to develop a sideline in jewellery.

Great typo Graeme: with a factory produced pedant I could stop being pedantic!

BTW, there's a slim chance I'll be doing the C2C with my brother sometime. If I do I'll expect coffee and scones at the finish line ;-)
-
Let me know if you do the C2C and I'll be there waiting.
