This poor bass has had more owners than Elizabeth Taylor has had husbands!  It's resided at Bass NW, and last I saw of it, it was at the Low End.

Someone please find this wayward bass a good home...

Hmn, strange.  I went to Basschat UK, and I could find nor hide nor hair of this listing.  Weird...

It does look a lot like the bass that was about $5K @ Bass NW a few years ago. Nothing like crossing the Atlantic to increase the price of an instrument.

Here's the BC link : http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=58001 (http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=58001)

The site was down for a short while yesterday so maybe that's why it was hard to find

Bsee, that's because you can add a third to the cost simply to get it over here (shipping, massive duty etc).

That's correct. I bought this bass at the Lowend shop and indeed it costed me more than another 2000 USD extra to import the bass to Belgium. It's a very beatifull bass and it plays and sounds like a dream but since I suffer from backproblems the last years this bass is to heavy for me and it has a little neckdive. This last problem is solved with a wider strap but the weight... It doesn't have to go but because of this I just use my Alembic MK-V again instead of the series II and you will all agree that this is not a bass that should hang on the wall waiting for a short gig to be played!
